How it works:
The barrel pattern at each location is the same size.
Each horse/rider combination must have 6 clean runs.
At the end of the series your 6 fastest clean runs are combined and that is what places you into your division.
You do not have to join the series to run at these jackpots. Only those who join will be eligible for prizes.

“Hwy 55 Series” Rules

  1. Each Hwy 55 Series arena jackpot will be run simultaneously as SBRA qualified jackpots (SBRA rules apply).
    1. Rescheduling may be necessary due to rainouts, etc.
    2. If rescheduling is not possible at an arena then the arena’s jackpot(s) that were held will be the only series qualifying jackpot(s) for that arena.

** Every attempt will be made to reschedule if necessary but you may want to attend the first jackpot(s) at each arena to ensure you qualify for prizes **

  1. To be eligible for prizes each horse/rider combination must:
    1. have at least one qualified ride at each of the Hwy 55 Series arenas
    2. pay a one time series fee per horse/rider combination:  Open $20.00, Youth $10.00, Peewees Free
      1. Deadline for paying entry fees is May 31/08
      2. Youth competitors who want to qualify for youth and open prizes must pay the fee for each horse/rider combination in each division.
      3. Entry fee refunded at the discretion of “Hwy 55 Series” directors only (directors:  Nancy Dancy, Rosanne Newman, Rosine Thibault)
  2. To determine the 1D, 2D and 3D winners:
    1. Each horse/rider combination will have times from each arena.  Their fastest time from each arena will be added up (Three Rocks Arena best time  + Lone Spruce Arena best time  + Little Rose Arena best time  = total time).  The 3D system is determined by a 1 second split added for each arena time added to the total (3 arena times = 3 second splits):

Example:  (based on adding up your best time from each of the three arenas)
1D starts at 48:00 seconds to 50.99 seconds (example only)
2D starts at 51:00 seconds to 53.99 seconds (example only)
3D starts at 54:00 seconds (example only)

  1. In the event that a series arena is unable to hold any of their jackpots then the fastest run for each horse/rider combination from each remaining series arena will be totaled.
  • Full western attire is required.  $2.00 fine for not being in full western attire.  Fines will be donated to the “Ronald McDonald House”.
  • Pattern sizes will follow the designated district 6 patterns with each series arena keeping a consistent pattern size for each of their jackpots
    • Small pattern:  80’ x 105’ with a 30’ score
    • Large pattern:   90’ x 110’ with a 40’ score
