General Finals Information

LOCATION: IPSCO PLACE (Formerly, Regina Exhibition Park) Exhibition Stadium.

Stabling will be primarily in the Commercial Barn, Winter Fair, Canada Centre East, and Annex.
Wash racks will be located in the Annex, Canada Centre East, and Stockman’s Arena.
Warm up areas will be located in the Stockman’s Arena and Winter Fair Building.
Camping will be available around the Commercial Barn and In the Canada Center.

DATES: July 30, July 31 and August 1, 2008

CUTOFF DATE for six jackpots to attend the finals is July 16, 2008

INCENTIVES: NAERIC approved, CBHI approved, Calvensa approved (Click Here for information)

* This year there are two new incentive programs available to the membership. The Canadian Barrel Horse Incentive. Members riding offspring of nominated stallions will be eligible for added money if their horse qualifies. There is $1000 added to the open and $500 to the youth. There is a $10 registration fee and proof of registration must be provided at entry. Calvenza has added $1200 to the finals. If a members horse is vaccinated with their product and qualifies, that horse is eligible for added money. All that is required is a vet certificate stating the horse was vaccinated with their product. Must be presented to collect winnings.

DECLARE YOUR DISTRICT : This year, when you make your entry, you will need to declare your district, as well as state how many stalls and tack/feed stalls you need.

WHAT IS THE SELECT CATEGORY??
The Select Category is a Division for competitors 50 years of age and older. If you enter the Open and Select, your runs in the Open will carry over to your times for the Select. If you want to run in ONLY in the select, you will be incorporated into the Open Draw, but only pay a Select entry fee. Each go around in the select will be paid out as well as the Average will also be paid.

STALL PLAN: Will be made based on Districts – so you will be stalled with your district … and, we will have a map of the barn, so if stalls are left unclean, the District will be charged for cleaning those stalls. So if you are from District 10, for example, and if District 10 needs a total of 25 stalls, when you arrive to the finals, you simply will need to find where District 10 has been assigned and take the number of stalls you have spoken for in that designation. Each year, we will rotate the barns, so you and your district will be in a different stalling situation year after year.
Stalls Cleaning Fine: $40.00 fine per stall.
Stall Decorations: You and your District are encouraged to decorate your stalls! It will be Fun!

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:The AGM is scheduled for Wednesday July 30, 2008 at 7:30 PM - IN THE BLEACHERS in the STADIUM ARENA. Please be in attendance to ‘voice’ your thoughts and run for Executive positions. If you have an item for the agenda, or would like to make changes in the By Laws, please email Ronda Edwards your item by JULY 1st, 2008. .
